Amir serves as the Senior Executive Officer of Securrency Capital. He brings more than two decades of banking and financial services experience to the table. As President of Securrency Capital, he oversees all aspects of vision creation, long-term strategy formulation, planning, financial management, vendor management, investment management, staff development, and objective setting to achieve SC's objectives within agreed strategic directions, performance plans, and company-approved policies and procedures.
Prior to joining Securrency Capital, Amir was Head of Global Markets and Trading at Emirates Investment Bank, where he established and supervised the Global Markets dealing and brokerage relationships departments. Prior to that, Amir served as the head of trading at the National Bank of Abu Dhabi's Global Wealth and Asset management group. Amir has also served on the boards of directors for several Fintech start-ups and financial services providers.
Amir is a graduate of three Global Leading Brands in Leadership, Strategy, Business Administration, Applied Research and Human sciences. Amir has a Master in Positive leadership, Strategy & Transformation from IE Business School & from IE School of Human Sciences and Technology in Spain, a Master in applied research from the Swiss Business School in Switzerland, a Master in financial Technical Analysis, and a Bachelor of Science in Management science. Amir is a holder of the CFTe (Certified Financial Technician), and the MSTA (Diploma in Technical Analysis). Amir is also a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investments.
John, a Co-Founder of Securrency, serves as Chief Operating Officer and a member of the Board of Directors. In his role as COO, John oversees all aspects of the company’s operations, including the management of finance, budgeting, human resources, corporate structure, and investor relations for its nine global subsidiaries. Additionally, John serves as the Senior Executive Officer for Securrency’s Middle East North Africa operations. In this capacity, he leads global business operations for 150 team members from Securrency’s international headquarters in Abu Dhabi, UAE to include US & European subsidiary and vendor operations.
Prior to co-founding Securrency, John served in the U.S. Navy as a pilot for over 25 years, including over a decade as the manager of the Major Defense Acquisition Program and Foreign Military Sales programs. In this capacity, John led 260 military and civilian acquisition professionals in the execution of procurement and sustainment activities supporting a fleet of 182 globally deployed aircraft. He led a diverse acquisition team in the execution of 15 programs valued in excess of $3.5 billion to include requirements and resourcing definition, program establishment, and management of obligations and expenditures. He led a multinational capture team comprised of US and allied servicemembers, Security Cooperation and Embassy team members, and domestic and international industry partners in the program development of several critical combatant commander sponsored procurement and sustainment programs. John successfully led negotiations and engagements at the highest levels of foreign government to include Defense Ministers, Ambassadors, and Service Chiefs. In this capacity, John successfully developed business with strategic partners leading to execution of contracts valued in excess of $15 billion.
John is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy and has a Master of Business Administration from Johns Hopkins University – Carey Business School and a Master of Arts from the Naval War College.
Patrick serves as the Chief Strategy Officer for Securrency, Inc. He leads all aspects of the company’s strategy, including corporate strategy, capital strategy, business development, innovation strategy, and strategic partnerships. He also leads the group’s marketing department and manages group-level policy and government relations initiatives.
Prior to Securrency, Patrick founded and ran a global strategic advising firm for eight years before joining Securrency. It included large-scale projects in many industries, financial structuring, capital raising, and business and go-to-market strategy. He has led and managed teams at various phases of development for multiple technology start-ups. Patrick has over a decade of private practice experience at three top US law firms. A wide range of transactional operations were covered by his practice including project and corporate finance, structured finance, and asset finance.
Patrick served as an officer in the Unites States Marine Corps and is a graduate of the Georgetown University Law Center and Arizona State University.
Adam serves as the Chief Investment Officer for a sovereign wealth fund, where he created and implemented the entire investment, operational, and governance framework. Adam was the COO of the region's first true real estate investment trust (backed by HSBC), which was developed and managed to worldwide standards while providing investors with sustainable, attainable profits. Adam was also the COO of a Dubai Financial Services Authority-regulated multi-family office (principal investments, funds management, and corporate advisory) with a Category 3C licence (asset management and advisory). He was also in charge of transaction sourcing, execution and management.
Adam served on numerous operational and advisory boards for over 20 years, in areas such as trade and investment, financial services, funds management, family/private investment offices, property, education, healthcare, and medical research and endowments. He has also served on board sub-committees, including executive and audit committees, as well as risk, projects, investments, technology, credit, assets and liabilities (treasury), governance, finance, and remuneration and nominations.
Adam is a graduate of the University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia (UNSW), with Bachelors in Commerce (Accounting and Finance) and Law, and is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Dr. Ryan served as the Senior Executive Officer and Board Director of ADS Investment Solutions (ADSI), the ADSS Group's Wealth and Asset Management Company, which he founded on behalf of the Group and grew to become one of the largest companies in the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM). Prior to ADSI, Dr Ryan was the Senior Advisor and Head of Risk Management at the Emirates Securities & Commodities Authority, the UAE’s federal securities regulator. In this capacity, Dr Ryan led and contributed to initiatives which gave way to the development of several fundamental financial regulations in the UAE, including the collective investment scheme regulations, as well as regulations on financial analysis and consultancy services, market making and others. He was principally responsible for leading the Funds and Investment Management team that handled the licensing and approvals for local and foreign mutual funds and investment managers. Additionally, he helped develop a risk management framework for UAE licensed brokers. Prior to that, Ryan was the Lead Portfolio Manager at Fortis Investments in Europe, where he was responsible for managing a 14.6-billion-euro portfolio of assets, namely in the space of credit derivatives.
Dr. Ryan is a sought-after speaker and contributor to major financial market discussions and events in the UAE and the wider MENA region.
Dr. Ryan holds a PhD (summa cum laude) in Financial Econometrics from the École Normale Supérieure, France, and is the author of two books on financial contagion, as well as several research articles on financial correlation.
Aisha serves as the Director of Special Projects at Abu Dhabi Ports. She has had a distinguished career track record and was one of thirty-three young Emiratis selected by the UAE cabinet to serve on high-level government boards of federal government agencies. Aisha Al Mansoori was appointed to the board of the Federal Electricity and Water Authority (FEWA) in February 2020. During her term, Aisha Al Mansoori led projects and programs that helped convert the strategy and vision of the authority into action.
Aisha Al Mansoori began her career in Abu Dhabi's power and utilities sector, where she worked on the privatization of generation assets, attracting foreign investors, successfully arranging investments, and ensuring international project finance. She was appointed to the board of the world's largest solar PV project, Noor Abu Dhabi PV Project Company, in 2017.Aisha Al Mansoori advanced her career by joining Ernst & Young (EY), one of the Big Four consulting firms, as a Director for the Energy Sector, where she oversaw huge transformation projects, smart metering, day-ahead markets, and advised the C-suite on strategic decisions. She subsequently moved to Accenture, where she worked as a director and client account lead for the health and public sectors, where she led programs for strategic clients in the public sector such as the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Court and the Abu Dhabi Digital Authority.
Aisha Al Mansoori is a graduate of Abu Dhabi University with a master’s in engineering management and a graduate of the American University of Sharjah with a bachelor’s in electrical and electronics engineering.
